- Setting up and operating production machines and plants
- Controlling and monitoring the material flow

- Selecting and applying manual and machine processing techniques
- Using control systems
- Maintaining and inspecting machines and plants and troubleshooting
- Executing quality assurance measures
- Considering environmental protection and work safety regulations as well as economic factors
- Documenting production data
- Coordinating with upstream and downstream areas
- Preparing the work steps
